Photographic Memories: Camera Lens Bracelet

Check out this awesome bracelet from Oye Modern. I saw it on Nemo Productions & Photography's blog, and I had to share. It's good for the earth and it's pretty funky. Tragically, my wallet is running on empty, and I don't usually wear bracelets. So you should go grab one instead.

I wish I could take credit for this amazing transformation, but it actually is just one of the many great DIY ideas featured on jcaroline creative, a terrific fabric and craft online store. Click here for the tutorial.

Just for Fun

I came across this awesome website due to my obsession with Jessica Jones' blog, How About Orange. She blogged this back in February, but I just read through a whole bunch of her old posts. I'm jumping on the bandwagon!

You should definitely head over to the Bureau of Communication where you can send out (free!) a range of fill-in-the-blank email messages, such as the Declaration of Romantic Intent (above), Airing of Grievance, and Unsolicited Feedback.

Loving It....Rob Ryan's Paper Cuts and Prints

Top: "Blue Heart Bell," Middle: "House" Bottom: "The Stars"

I am in love with Rob Ryan's artwork. I just think the details are amazing, especially in "The Stars," which is my favorite.

He has an Etsy store, where he sells some of his work. If anyone feels like giving me a very nice present, now you know where to go.... Definitely check him out!

DIY: Reusable Swiffer Supplies

I came across this on Cribcandy, a fabulously creative website. Basically, you just craft your own Swiffer pads or dusters using fleece. Another idea is to use microfiber. Both allow you to toss used materials in the washer instead of throwing them out. This idea is simple but so ingenious. I think I'm gonna have to try it out. I'll let you know how it goes.

Loving It... Art for Urban Spaces Pillows

In my moving plans, I've started obsessively searching the web for inspiration. Here are a couple of gorgeous pillows (approx $62 US) from Art for Urban Spaces. I think it would be pretty easy to make something similar.

The Big Move

I'm finishing up law school, and that means it's time to move! I'm leaving my humble dorm room, and moving back out to the real world. Very exciting, but it's also daunting because I have to furnish an entire apartment by myself.

In the interest of saving money and thinking environmentally, I'm planning on getting as much stuff as I can either used or at least handmade. However, I made a couple of big purchases: a sofa bed and a mattress/box springs set.

Here is the sofa bed, courtesy of The Futon Shop:

I'll be posting items that inspire me as I look for ideas to match my lovely new sofa.
